Assam Rifles began the first phase of the police training programme on December 2, 2024 at Lachit Barphukan Police Academy, Dergaon, Assam.
The programme is designed to instil the tenets of camaraderie, bonhomie and brotherhood among the recruits of Manipur Police.
The tailor-made training capsule by the Assam Rifles training team is guiding the recruits in understanding the ethos of a uniformed force and to think beyond communal affiliations, embracing unity as a cornerstone of their service, said a PRO IGAR (S) press release.
Focusing on contemporary internal security challenges, the programme equips recruits with essential tools and techniques through a blend of classroom instruction and outdoor team-building exercises.
The training, conducted in three phases over six working days, trains approximately 700 recruits per phase.
Currently, 650 recruits are undergoing training in the first phase of this meticulously planned capsule, the release further said.
