AR conducts lectures under Swachh Bharat Campaign

Imphal, August 04 2021: Battalions of Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles conducted series of lectures on health and hygiene awareness drive under Swachh Bharat Mission at various villages of Churachandpur, Bishnupur and Noney districts on Wednesday.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the campaign was organised to create awareness among the villagers regarding health and hygiene in daily routine during monsoon to prevent spread of diseases.

In addition lectures on precautionary measures against Covid and importance of vaccination were also conducted.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the local populace.

During the programme, villagers were educated regarding nationwide spike in Covid-19 cases, the importance of Covid appropriate behavior and distributed Covid prevention kits, it added.
