Distribution of relief item continues

Imphal, June 25 2021:
Many continue to provide relief materials in a bid to alleviate the hardships faced by all due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
AMUCO
The All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) in association with Singjamei to Lilong United Clubs Organisation (SLUCO) distributed .edible items to the underprivileged and needy households at 8 different places in from Singjamei till Lilong for the first phase today.
The edible items were distributed to around 120 selected households along with the support of local club which are members of SLUCO, said a press release by AMUCO.
President of SLUCO, Salam Tombi, vice president Karam Momocha and general secretary Aheibam Bedhajit also attended in today's distribution programme.
Meanwhile AMUCO in association with All Manipur Muslim Development Organisation (AMMDO) and United Meitei Pangal Organisation (UMPO) distributed edible items to widows, handicapped persons and to the underprivileged and needy households at different places in Imphal East and Thoubal districts namely Yairipok, Phoudel, Lilong and Uchiwa Santhel yesterday inhabited mainly by Meitei Pangal.
The relief items which included rice, potatoes, onion and salt were distributed to around 86 households, said a press release by AMUCO.
President of AMMDO FM Manawar Ali, Advisor of AMMDO Khullakpam Yakup Ali and its assistant organisation secretary Khullakpam Mujibuddin attended today's distribution programme.
Also AMUCO in association with All Mayai Lambi Clubs Organisation (AMALCO) distributed edible items to poor households at Paobitek and Top Upokpi in Wangoi AC in Imphal West district yesterday.
President of AMUCO Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, Assistant general secretary MM Thambou and secretary organisation (in-charge) Koijam Santosh were present on the occasion.
Members of local clubs viz Salan Youth Development Organization (SYDO) and Top Upokpi Social Union (TUSU) extended their support in today's distribution programme held at Paobitek and Upokpi.
Mayang Imphal
Manipur Muslim Welfare Organization (MMWO) Mayang Imphal Branch in association with Bengoon Youth Development Association (BYDA) distributed essential items to around 270 underprivileged and needy households today, said a press release by MMWO Manipur.
The distribution programme has been taken up under the aegis of MMWO Headquarters and the organization sought for cooperation and support from towards the cause.
Kshetrigao
Edible items were distributed to around 37 mosques in Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency today by Nahakpam Indrajit, ML A of Kshetrigao AC.
The MLA went to the mosques and handed over the edible items to the religious leaders of the mosques and requested them to pray for the protection of the State from COVID-19.Speaking on the sidelines, N Indrajit said that he distributed the edible items to the mosques to provide some relief and help in alleviating the difficult times of the ongoing pandemic.
Keirao
Social Activist MI Khan provided monetary assistance and distributed relief items to around 15 households who have been affected by COVID-19 at Keirao Wangkhem in Keirao AC in Imphal East district today.
The items were handed over to elderly people of Keirao Wangkhem in the presence of president and secretary of ARDO Keirao.
Khundrakpam
As a part of Seva Hi Sangathan campaign, drinking water bottles, face masks and hand sanitizers were distributed to the locals who came to get vaccinated for COVID-19 at the mass vaccination centre at Pakhangba Community Hall in Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency yesterday.
The items were distributed by Dr Ksh Kala Singh, vice president of Kisan Morcha and Convenor of Medical Cell BJP Manipur Pradesh, said a statement.
Lamlai
Relief materials were distributed to households in the containment zones of Lamlai AC by Achoibam Deben, intending candidate from Lamlai AC in the upcoming State Assembly Election.
The relief materials were distributed in association with the volunteers of Lamlai Kendra Development Political Forum, Lamlai Block Congress Committee, Lamlai Block Mahila Youth Congress Committee and Lamlai Kendra COVID-19 Second Wave Information Centre.
A Deben along with the volunteers distributed the materials to Sanjenbam Sansabi, Laikot Phaijon Covid Care Centre (CCC), Lamlai Local Covid Committee and to other CCCs and quarantine centres in the constituency.
Apart from the distribution of relief materials, Sodium Hypochlorite were also sprayed to some localities of Lamlai AC .
