Saikul MLA's daughter to contest polls

Imphal, January 22 2022: One Kimneo Hangsing on Saturday declared to contest for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election from Saikul assembly constituency in a Public Declaration cum Blessing Programme held at Saikul village community hall.

Speaking at the event held with strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs, Kimneo Hangsing informed that she is contesting the election to make Saikul AC a developed constituency.

Kimneo Hangsing also pledged will focus on road connectivity, sports, protection of reserved forest areas, resolving boundary issues, etc., as per the wishes of the public.

She continued that formulation of policy for betterment of financial condition of women in the AC along with improving the education sector will be other priority areas.

Saikul AC is resided by various communities, hence, will work for equal development of all the communities, Kimneo Hangsing assured.

Kimneo is the daughter of Saitu MLA Ngamthang Haokip and had worked as committee officer in the Manipur Legislative Assembly before taking voluntary retirement in October 2021 to contest the election.
