Wife pleads for handing over hubby's body

Bishnupur, December 19 2024: One Nameirakpam Ibemhal Devi has appealed to authorities concerned to hand over body of her husband, Nameirakpam Sobhachandra (57) of Kha Potshangbam Maning Ward No 9, who died in an accident at Naransena around 7:10 pm on December 15, to enable the family perform his last rites.

Addressing the media on Thursday, Ibemhal recalled that Sobhachandra was returning home from Moirang on his Honda Dio two-wheeler when he was hit by a Tata Yodha pick-up truck (MNO4C-0219) and succumbed to injuries.

Lamenting that his body has not been handed over to his family till now, she appealed to authorities concerned to look into the matter so that the issue can be resolved at the earliest and they could perform the last rites.
