NYK Thoubal organises SSR Awareness

Imphal, November 19 2021: A Special Summary Revision (SSR) 2022 Awareness with respect to January 1, 2022 as the Qualifying Date was jointly organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal and Lilong Haorelbi College NSS Units I, II and III on Friday at Lilong Haorelbi College as part of Quami Ekta Diwas Week Celebration and continuation of the SVEEP Campaign.

Thoubal SVEEP nodal officer Michael T Mate, who is also NYK Thoubal district youth officer, briefed the gathering regarding SSR and explained that objective of SVEEP is to educate voters, bring trust in the electoral process and motivate them to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

He also exhorted them to ensure their applications are submitted timely as SSR is a time bound exercise.

As part of the interaction programme, Block Level Declamation Contest on Patriotism & Nation Building, which is an initiative of NYKS, was also organised.

The winners of the Block level contest will participate in the district level competition.

Lilong Haoreibi College assistant professors N Mohen Singh, K Joychandra Kh arid Mohd Ahmad Raza were the Screening Jury Members of the contest.

The audience was also sensitised on the importance of Rainwater Harvesting and Water Conservation by DYO Michael Mate.

He educated .them on the Catch the Rain Campaign with the tagline "Catch the Rain where it falls, when it falls".

The programme was also attended by NSS-III PO Md Shahid Khan, NSS-I PO Th Umabati Chanu and NSS-II Dr Reshma Khatun as presidium members.
