Assam Rifles conduct skill workshop in Chandel

Imphal, February 15 2025: Continuing efforts towards empowering local youth and promoting self-sufficiency, Assam Rifles conducted a skill workshop on vehicle repair for 15 village youths at Joupi, Khengjoi Sub-Division in Chandel district on Saturday.

According to a PRO IGAR (S) release, the workshop aimed to equip the participants with essential skills and knowledge on vehicle repair, enabling them to become self-employed and contribute to the local economy.

The training programme was conducted by experienced instructors from Assam Rifles, who imparted hands-on training on various aspects of vehicle repair, including engine maintenance, brake systems and electrical systems.

The workshop was part of Assam Rifles' ongoing efforts to promote socio-economic development in the region and empower local youth to become self-sufficient, it added.
