Outreach prog held; new office bearers elected

Kangpokpi, September 14 2022: Churachandpur District Disable Union (CDDU), General Headquarters in collaboration with Franciscan Clarist Congregation, Mercy Home and Jan Vikas Samiti/Liliane Foundation organised an Outreach-cum-Empowerment programme on Wednesday.

As part of the event, CDDU Leimata Block also elected its new office bearers for the term 2022-2025.The newly elected office bearers are Nehminthang of Molphai (president), Lenmang Haokip of Yaingang Khuman (vice president), Thangboi of Lamdan Kuki (secretary), Chinngaineng of Kukimun (joint secretary), Lhingnei of Yaingang Khuman (finance cum treasurer), Seikhongam of Kukimun (information secretary) and Dongkhosei of Molphai (joint information secretary).

The newly elected office bearers were dedicated by the local ECA Church chairman Upa Thangboi.

Meanwhile, during the outreach cum empowerment programme, CDDU president T Sianmuanthang spoke about RPD Act 2016, welfare schemes for PwDs and the importance and functions of DPO, while FCC Sr Agnes emphasised on health and nutrition.
