Imphal, November 12 2024: Assam Rifles on Monday commemorated the National Education Day-2024, under the theme "Empowering Future through Quality Education" at St Peter's School in Tengnoupal district.

According to PRO IGAR (S), as part of the commemoration an informative lecture was delivered by an Assam Rifles representative to emphasise the significance of quality education for all, regardless of social status or economic background, highlighting education as the key to a brighter future for individuals and the nation.

The participants including students and teachers also paid tribute to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India's first Education Minister, whose contributions were pivotal in shaping the nation's educational foundation.

On the other hand, Assam Rifles on Monday conducted a motivational lecture at Kwatha High School in Tengnoupal district, aimed at guiding students on avenues to join the Indian Army and Assam Rifles.

Approximately 28 students and 6 teachers attended the lecture, actively engaging in discussions and learning about potential career paths in the defence services, the PRO added.
