Imphal, November 10 2024: Along with distribution of the Guru Kula Memorial Award-2024, the 15th Annual function of Guru Kula Cultural Academy was held at JN Manipur Dance Academy auditorium, here, on Sunday.

The function was attended by cultural academy president N Gunindro, JN dance academy director Pukhrambam Bilash Singh and Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Kolkata Board of Governors member Budha Chingtham as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

During the ceremony, 'Pung' maker Moirangthem Nabadwip Singh of Heirangoithong and costume maker Laishram Saratkumar Singh were honoured with the Guru Kula Memorial Award-2024 for their significant contributions.

The cultural programme featured 'Pung Cholom,' Pala Cholom,' and 'Dhol Dholak Cholom' by artistes of Guru Kula academy, solo Bharat Natyam performance Babina Taorem, and group Manipuri classical dance.
