CRPF organises CAP events across state

Imphal, January 10 2025:
CRPF Manipur & Nagaland Sector organised a series of community engagement initiatives under its civic action programme across the state.
At Kandangband Part II, the 189 Bn CRPF distributed various essential items to the villagers and also presented gifts to children of Phayeng and Kandangban.
Previously, the battalion provided sewing machines, water tanks, sports items, solar lights to residents in Langol.
In its last leg of this year's civic action programme, the 34th Bn CRPF distributed various essential items such as water storage tanks, solar lights, WC fittings and sports items to the families of the relief camps at Somru and Iram Sipahi villages under PS Wangoi.
The event, organised at PS Wangoi complex, was presided over by DIG Range Imphal H Pramjit Meitei.
Commandant Shiv Shankar, 2ICs Durgesh Kumar, RK Srivastava, and Ravindra Tomar, alongside all officers, SOs, and Jawans of 34th Bn CRPF, DC Range Imphal HN Meena, SMO Dr Anamika Singh, SDPO Imphal West Bimal Chandra Singh, AC SK Singh, AC Mukesh Kumar, AC Ramniwas Chauhan, Wangoi PS OC Insp Budha Chandra Khuman, and the in-charges both relief camps - Naorem Dorendro and Khomdram Sanajaoba also attended the event.
The event also saw participation from local dignitaries and members of the press and electronic media.
2IC of 34th Bn Rakesh Srivastava was the master of the ceremony and SMO Dr Anamika Singh delivered a vote of thanks.
On Friday, the 152 Bn CRPF also organised a civic action programme at Kanto Sabal under Sekmai PS, Imphal West during which the battalion commandant distributed sports items such as footballs, jerseys and shorts, shin pads, kit bags, socks and shoes to students and youths of the area.
A free medical camp was also conducted and patients were given medicines.
2IC Love Kumar, OC of C/152 Sunil, OC of E/152 Insp Hemant Kumar, and other unit personnel were also present at the event.
Earlier, the unit carried out CAP in Tairenpokpi, Khongnang-pokpi and Kanglatongbi villages, Imphal West, distributing water storage tanks, mosquito nets, sports items, and stationery to the villagers.
