Imphal, August 09 2022: General Administration Department (Welfare Section) deputy secretary Koshoni Phimu on Tuesday informed that Mass sale/distribution of National Flags to government employees as part of Har Ghar Thanga under 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' will be held on Wednesday (Aug 10) at 1st Bn Manipur Rifles Parade Ground, here at 3:30 pm.

The deputy secretary advised all heads of department to attend the function without fail along with at-least 30 officers/employees each of the respective departments and the DGP to participate along with at-least 100 officers and personnel from valley districts.

She further added that government officials absent in the aforesaid function will be viewed seriously considering that Har Ghar Tlranga programme under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahosav is an initiative of cen tral government to celebrate and commemorate 75 year of India's Independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.

She also stated that chief minister N Biren will attend the function of Mass Sale/Distribution of National Flags as chief guest.

Meanwhile, Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Manipur Prant organised mass distribution of Indian flags to its various Sakhas as part of the Har Ghar Thanga campaign on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, BVP Manipur president Prof H Priyoshakhi extended warm greetings to all on the occasion of 75 years of India's independence, adding that the Har Ghar Thanga campaign will help promote patriotism amongst the masses.

The president also urged all for concerted efforts to help in strengthening the country.
