Awareness lecture on Literacy Day conducted

Noney, September 08 2024: Assam Rifles organised an awareness lecture on International Literacy Day at English Boarding School, Khoupum, Noney district under the theme 'Promoting Multilingual Education: Literacy for Mutual Understanding & Peace' .

The event aimed at inspiring young students embrace reading and writing highlighted the critical role of literacy in their holistic development.

A total of 51 students and teachers of English Boarding School attended the event.

The lecture will not only help wean away the youth from militancy but also open doors to mainstream opportunities, thereby strengthening the relationship between the AR and the local populace.

The event culminated with handing over of a token of association to the school by the AR battalion followed by light refreshment for all attendees.
