Moreh reports 7 new dengue cases

Moreh, September 08 2022:
With the detection of 7 new cases of dengue out of 18 blood samples tested on Thursday, the total number of people infected by the viral disease so far has increased to 165 in Moreh.
The Indo-Myanmar border town has become the feeding ground of dengue causing mosquitoes and cases of dengue are increasing every day in different localities of Moreh.
The seven newly infected patients include four from Heinou Makhong, and one each from Zion Veng, Masjid Compound and Lhangkichoi Veng.
They are presently undergoing treatment at sub-divisional hospital, Moreh.
Continuing its effort to control the viral disease, Special Malaria unit of Sub-divisional hospital, Moreh under DMO Tengnoupal continued fogging and surveillance activities yet the number of dengue cases keeps increasing.
People of Moreh have expressed deep concern over the increasing dengue cases and called for state government's intervention in dealing with the viral disease.
