Imphal, January 07 2022: One Chingakham Priyokumar son of Chingakham Nandakumar, who had been undergoing treatment at Shija hospital since December 22, 2021 evening after he was found badly injured on roadside between Khumbong and Sabal Leikai under Patsoi police station in Imphal West district, died on December 31 and Patsoi PS has registered a case regarding his death.

As per family members, Priyokumar worked at a Chicken centre at Khumbong bazar and usually returned home daily at about 6pm riding bicycle.

There was heavy rain on December 22 and Priyokumar was rushed to hospital by some passers-by when he was found lying badly injured on roadside on the same night.

Suspecting that Priyokumar was hit by a vehicle, family members appealed police to identify culprits involved in the incident and punish them according to law.
