Heirok people donate paddy rice to MLA Radheshyam

Thoubal, December 06 2021: Denizens of Heirok assembly constituency collected paddy rice in whatever quantity they could contribute, and presented 4000 'phoubot' to local MLA Dr Thokchom Radheshyam on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Radheshyam expressed his happiness over the donation of the paddy rice which has been collected to ensure that no home in the constituency goes hungry.

The donated paddy will be distributed equally amongst the AG's down trodden, landless people and farmers who have lost their crops due to pest infestation without any political difference, he said.

Hailing the spirit of sacrifice amongst the farmers of Heirok, the MLA recalled that he had started 'Loubuk Maikei Panglashi' mission with the support of people of Heirok AC which has yielded result and now the farmers are happy and have willingly presented the paddy.

Majority of the people in Heirok AC are poor, but still the sacrificial spirit they have shown is remarkable, the MLA said, adding that he prays to the god that this spirit continues and it spreads in other parts of Manipur as well as whole India.
