AR holds medical camps in Tml, Noney

Imphal, February 04 2025: On the occasion of World Cancer Day, medical camps were organised by Assam Rifles at Tamah village in Tamenglong district and New Nungnang village under Noney district on Tuesday.

Both the camps organised in collaboration with local healthcare professionals, offered a wide range of medical services to over 500 villagers.

The services included general health check-up, treatment for common illnesses, distribution of free medicines and awareness sessions on hygiene, sanitation and disease prevention.

In addition to treatment, free diagnostic tests including blood sugar, blood pressure monitoring and vision screening were done for local population who often face challenges in accessing healthcare due to the region's geographical remoteness.

A team of medical officers along with support staff worked tirelessly to ensure that villagers received the care and attention they needed, while the Assam Rifles also distributed essential medical supplies to the local health centre.
