He also urged the public to visit the market which will open at 6 am and include fruits and vegetables brought by the Mao traders in the Ningol Chakkouba dishes.
Athouba also revealed that preparations are being made to revive the rotational market of Mao in the localities of Imphal every Tuesday and Friday.
He also maintained that though the government had given assurance to construct a proper market for the fruit and vegetable vendors of Mao there has been no formal initiative to translate the same into action till date.
Failure of the government to keep its words has resulted in the vendors of Mao facing inconveniences and hardships in carrying out their business in Imphal.
