Mt Everest CTE celebrates Freshers' Meet

Freshers' Meet of Mount Everest College of Teacher Education, 2022 was inaugurated by ADC Senapati CEO HL Jain as the chief guest.
In his speech, HL Jain pointed out that education is a holistic development which does not confine only to reading and writing or to one's degree certificates.
A person can be called educated when he or she has the holistic development of spiritual, mental and physical abilities, he said while expressing confidence of a change in teaching after teachers from the ADC complete their training course.
Meanwhile, Mt Everest College of Teacher Education principal Dr L Vijaya Devi urged the freshers to meet the new challenges as the faculty is there to assist them in whatever possible way to make sure that their training is a memorable one.
The principal further said that the institution is not only there to impart education or training but it is also a place to develop one's personality, attitude and character.
Gonmei Meithuanlungpou, vice principal Mt Everest College, encouraged the freshers to become one of the best teachers in the country, saying that a good teacher has the ability to inspire.
The great mission of a teacher is to bring out the best in students, he added.
Mr & Miss Freshers' Competition and a musical extravaganza with guest artistes from Imphal including Hamom Sadananda, Rani Sharma, Uttam Mayanglambam and Karnajit Mutum were held as part of the event.
