CRPF launches 'Swachhta Pakhwada'

Imphal, December 01 2024:
143 Bn CRPF, Lamphelpat, on Sunday launched the fortnight long Swachhta Pakhwada, followed by a pledge taking ceremony as per the directions of the central government.
During the fortnight event various activities on Swachhta Drive to encourage people to maintain cleanliness, effective plastic waste management, adoption of eco-friendly use of resources, proper disposal of e-waste, etc., will be conducted.
In a release, the CRPF unit said a programme on the occasion of World AIDS Day was also organised for spreading awareness across the society.
As part of the observance, a seminar was Conducted organised at the battalion headquarters with CMO (S/G) Dr Saikat Biswas delivering a lecture on various aspects of the dreaded disease followed by presentation on causes of AIDS, its preventive measures, diet, etc.
In addition, commandant Ravinder Sharma also shared his views and emphasised on adopting a healthy life style so that every person of the Unit and society may be evaded from this incurable disease.
Senior officers of the Unit, subordinate officers and large number of jawans attended the event, it added.
