CPI organises Ching-Tam meet at Lamlai

Imphal, November 30 2021: CPI, Manipur state council and Lamlai local council jointly organised a Hill-Valley (Ching-Tam) meet at Irabot Park, Lamlai on Tuesday.

CPI national executive meet Dr M Nara, Manipur state council secretary L Sotinkumar and general secretary M Joykumar attended the meet as presidium members.

During their speeches at the meet, the presidium members recalled how Hijam Irabot organised Ching-Tam meets attended by leaders of hills and valley during his time and tried to strengthen relations between people of hills and valley.

Irabot went to hill areas like Ukhrul, Mao and Tamenglong and met leaders of various communities like Tangkhul, Mao-Maram, Liangmei-Kabui, Kuki and Meitei Pangal and managed to bring good relation among the communities, they recounted and explained that the Ching-Tam meet was organised to make the new generation aware about such meets organised by Hijam Irabot during his time.
