WMC extends Ningol Chakkouba greetings

Imphal, October 29 2024: World Meetei Council (WMC), Manipur State Unit extended Ningol Chakkouba greetings to womenfolk of the state and further wished for strengthening the bonds of love and affection between brothers and sisters.

In a release, WMC Manipur president Urikkhinbam Kunjo Singh reminded that Ningol Chakkouba celebrated since time immemorial was cancelled last year owing to outbreak of the conflict on May 3, 2023 .

He, however, expressed delight over preparation for celebrating Ningol Chakkouba this year.

While urging to present items made by internally displaced persons taking shelter in relief camps as Chakkouba gifts, Kunjo further appealed for remembering all those who sacrificed their lives for Manipur and wished for return of peace and prosperity with the celebration of Ningol Chakkouba.
