CRPF strengthens community bonds through CAP in Kangpokpi

Kangpokpi, January 21 2025:
The 112 Battalion of the CRPF conducted a Civic Action Program (CAP) and free medical camp at Ireng Naga and Geljang villages in Kangpokpi district on Monday, reaffirming its commitment to fostering peace, development, and unity.
The event, led by IG, CRPF M&N Sector, Dr Vipul Kumar and overseen by DIG (Ops) Kangpokpi, Manish Kumar Sachar, was executed under the supervision of commandant Pramod Kumar Sahoo and attended by over 200 villagers, along with local leaders and CRPF officials.
During the programme, commandant PK Sahoo reiterated the CRPF's commitment to building trust with local communities.
Local leaders, including village chiefs from Ireng Naga, Olmun, Lhangjol, and K Makhom, praised the CRPF for its efforts in ensuring peace and progress.
The day's highlights included the distribution of essential supplies such as sports equipment, solar lamps, school bags, water tanks, and dustbins, aimed at enhancing daily life and encouraging youth engagement.
A cultural dance performance by local youth added to the event's success, celebrating the region's heritage.
In another initiative, the 158 battalion of the CRPF organised Civic Action Programs in Haraothel and Kangchup Chiru villages, furthering its mission to empower local communities.
In Haraothel, led by second-in-command Santosh Kumar Pal and deputy commandant Sumeet Kumar, essential items such as sports equipment, water tanks, solar lights, and dustbins were distributed to support development and youth participation in sports.
Similarly, in Kangchup Chiru, attended by village secretary Loveson Chiru and CRPF officials, the programme provided essential supplies, strengthening bonds between the force and the local populace.
Both programmes emphasised the CRPF's people-first approach, with villagers expressing gratitude for the force's efforts to improve their quality of life.
Local leaders lauded the initiatives as a testimony to the CRPF's role in promoting trust, unity, and holistic development in the area while fulfilling its mandate to safeguard peace and security.
