Moreh, June 17 2022: Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs chairman Vivek Johri virtually launched Indian Customs Electronic Data Interface (EDI) system at Integrated Check Post, Moreh on Friday.

The launch function was attended by Customs Preventive (Northern Region), Shillong commissioner GM Kamei, Integrated Check Post, Moreh manager T Baite, Land Customs SP SK Gangte, Customs Preventive Force, Moreh SP MA Saha, additional SP Tengnoupal SP Yumnam Premjit and other high-ranking customs officers and businessmen.

With the launch of EDI system, traders will no longer need to do manual transfer of business documents from one department to another but only once from a place, GM Kamei explained and appealed to traders doing business in Moreh to avail the opportunity given by the EDI system.
