'The Legacy of 4 Generations' premiered

The premiere show of 'The Legacy of 4 Generations", a documentary film produced under the banner of Jit Neo Films and based on the lives of the generations of renowned Manipuri artist Rajkumar Chandrajitsana, also known as RKCS, was held at the auditorium of Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Palace Compound on Thursday.
Education minister Th Basanta Kumar, who attended the premiere function, commended producer of the documentary based on one of the most celebrated artists of the state, who contributed immensely in promoting Manipuri history and culture.
He praised the talents of the people of the state and said that the talent per capita for the state is among the highest in the world.
He stressed the role of the government in promoting arid encouraging talented persons in different fields including sports, art, and culture among others.
The minister also assured necessary initiatives to promote the historical artworks of late artist Yumjaosana from Nambol, who was also known as one of the popular artists of the state.
Retired IAS RK Nimai and retired art and culture director Dr K Sobita also attended the premiere show.
The documentary, directed by Thiyam Debendra, covers the lives and works of four generations of RKCS, from his grandfather RK Goura to his son RK Budhimanta.
