Thoubal, January 15 2022: Acting on the instructions of Election Commission of India (ECI) to prevent unwanted incidents arising out of consumption of liquor and other addictive substances during election time, different teams of district level nodal officer of Excise and Thoubal district Excise raided roadside rice hotels at Kakching Lamkhai on Saturday and seized IMFL and locally brewed liquor worth Rs 22,000.The seized liquor will be disposed of after handing it over to the Commissioner Excise.

Enforcement team leader inspector S Nilakumar and district level nodal officer P Ranjit jointly appealed to all concerned not to sells such harmful substances in the future.
