PPC lines up programmes for Irabot month

Imphal, September 14 2022: Irabot Foundation and All Manipur Progressive Farmers' Association under the aegis of Protection and Preservation Committee (PPC), Irabot Ningshing Thouram Observation Committee will observe the month-long Irabot remembrance and tribute events.

According to Committee convener Konthoujam Thoiba, various programmes have been finalised for the month-long observance.

Among the programmes, there will be a discussion on 'Relation among indigenous communities and future of Manipur' to be held at Singjamei community hall on September 21 while floral tributes will be paid to Hijam Irabot on his death anniversary on September 26.The birth anniversary observance of Irabot on September 30 will be marked by mass tree plantation in coordination with schools and colleges, clubs, associations and volunteers.

There will also be debating and reciting competitions and Irabot Day celebration, he added.
