Bishnupur, October 12 2024: Leeklam Sindam Shanglen, a centre for learning age-old art and culture of Moirang has been opened at Moirang Kumam Leikai on Saturday.

The opening ceremony of the centre, donated by Kumam Memtombi in her son's name Kumam Tuleshor alias Lalumba, was attended by Leeklam Sindam Shanglen Committee president Gouro Moirangcha, secretary He-mamcha Sheityajit, Sindam Shanglen teachers, students and local elders.

The centre will train students in 'Pena', 'Jagoi', 'Khunung Isei', 'Moirang Sai', 'Moirang Haraorol', 'Amai Piba Sonarol Puwari', 'Langdren', 'Toudri', 'Khulang Isei', 'Amaibi', 'Thang Ta' and drama under the supervision of around 20 instructors.
