Memo seeks hike of honorarium

Imphal, September 12 2021: Manipur Anganwadi Manila Organisation (MAMO) on Sunday submitted a memorandum to Union minister of women and child development Smriti Irani that highlighted demands for increasing honorarium of Anganwadi workers/helpers and mini workers in Manipur, promotion of Anganwadi workers having requisite educational qualifications and work experiences of more than 10 years to the position of supervisor as line of promotion and covering of Anganwadi workers/helpers and mini workers under social security.

In a release, MAMO general secretary L Sanatombi said that the memorandum also demanded provisions for retirement benefits and providing smart phones to the workers during Poshan Maah and lauded the union minister for responding positively to these demands.
