Bishnupur, November 10 2024: Social worker Laishram Nando distributed school bags to students of seven Anganwadi centres of Kangmong Maisnam Man-ing Leikai, Mamang Leikai and Konjengbam Leikai on Sunday.

The distribution programmes held at Kangmong Maisnam Maning Leikai and Kangmong Tongbram Leikai community halls were attended by former MP Thokchom Meinya Singh, MPCC Kishan chairman L Nando, Konthoujam Block Con gress Committee president G Kalenjao Kabui and Imphal West District Congress Committee vice president H Ibot-ombi.

In all 130 students of Anganwadi centres in Kangmong Maisnam Maning Leikai and 30 from Kangmong Tongbram Leikai were presented the school bags.

In their addresses, Th Meinya opined that condition of government schools will improve in case the public chose education of their wards in public schools while L Nando stressed that objective of distributing the bags was to lesson financial impact of the parents in the education of their child to some extent.

He also pledged to continue bag distribution in Konthoujam AC .
