Media sensitization program on Tuberculosis held

With the goal of eliminating Tuberculosis (TB) from the State, the "Intensified 100 days Campaign" will be launched on December 7, informed Dr Hemlata Thokchom, State TB Officer during a media sensitization program at STDC Hall, Lamphel today.
The program was organised by State TB Cell and National Health Mission, Manipur as a part of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, Manipur.
Addressing the media persons, Dr Hemlata Thokchom stated that to contribute towards India's goal of eliminating TB by 2025, the Intensified 100 days Campaign will be conducted across the State from December 7.Stating that various initiatives are continuously being taken up under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, she added that the focus areas of the campaign for Manipur include Imphal East, Thoubal, Kakching, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi and Chandel district.
She urged people to avail the benefits provided under the campaign which will end next year on World TB Day (March 24, 2025) .
