Kangpokpi, July 05 2022: The handing and taking over of PSA oxygen generator plant cum inauguration of ICU ward and waiting area of Kangpokpi District Hospital was held at the conference hall of Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi on Tuesday.

The event was attended by ADC Sadar Hills caretaker chairman Haokholal Hangshing, CEO-SHADC Kangpokpi James Doujapao Haokip, CMO Dr Lamkhoneng Haokip and district hospital MS Dr Paotinlal Haokip as presidium members.

In his speech, Haokholal appreciated the district health department for their relentless and wholehearted efforts especially during the COVID-19 pandemic to save human lives.

He also said that the Sadar Hills SHADC had been extending all possible help to the health department during normal times and even during the pandemic and the same will continue in the future as well.

Meanwhile, representatives of Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kangpokpi Women's Welfare Organisation and Kangpokpi Youth's Union presented at the event expressed serious concern over acute shortage of manpower and infrastructures at the district hospital and appealed to authority concerned to take immediate favourable action.
