AR conducts wreath laying ceremony

Imphal, February 05 2025: Assam Rifles, on Wednesday, organised a wreath laying ceremony at Mantripukhri in honour of rifleman PP Thapa, who made the supreme sacrifice while performing duty during Road Opening Party (ROP) on February 5, 1960 near Pangei village.

Over 100 personnel including officers, junior commissioned officers and jawans paid tribute by laying wreaths.

The ceremony was a reminder of the sacrifices made by the brave soldier of Assam Rifles, stated a press release issued by PRO, IGAR (S), adding that Assam Rifles has a proud history of valour and sacrifice, and the ceremony was a tribute to the indomitable spirit of its bravehearts.
