Assam Rifles to guide Manipur police recruits

Assam Rifles will conduct a week-long Integration Capsule for Recruits of Manipur police undergoing training at Lachit Barphukan Police Academy, Dergaon, Assam, from Monday.
During the course of the Capsule, over 2100 recruits of Manipur Police will be oriented to the rich history, culture and traditions of Manipur, as also about the ethos and bonhomie of Assam Rifles and Indian Army.
This specially structured Capsule will be conducted under the aegis of HQ 3 Corps and Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), said a press release of PRO IGAR (S) .
The Integration Capsule will focus on fostering the virtues of harmonious coexistence and inter-cultural tolerance.
The initiative will highlight the spirit of national honour and ca-maraderie_among recruits, as they take the first step of their Police career.
To invigorate unity and pride in uniform, several team building exercises have been planned as part of this event, according to the release.
A dedicated team from the Assam Rifles has moved to Dergaon, for conduct of the training which will continue till December 7.The training is testament to the close cooperation between Assam Rifles and Manipur Police, it further said.
Over the period of six days, efforts will be directed towards imbibing qualities of espirit-de-corps and mutual trust among future personnel of Manipur Police, thereby enhancing their cohesiveness and efficiency.
These qualities are unique to the Assam Rifles/Indian Army and constitute the bedrock of their daily routine, the IGAR (S) release continued.
The training is envisaged to enhance the strength and efficiency of Manipur Police, thereby elevating it's capability to deal with the complex law and order situation in the state, it added.
