Thoubal, November 01 2024: The district administration organised a "Run for Unity" on Friday as part of National Unity Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of the independent India's first deputy prime minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The run was flagged off by Thoubal DC Ahanthem Subash from Thoubal Mela Ground and concluded at the DC's office complex, where the participants took the - "Oath of Unity" .

Speaking at the event, DC Subash informed that the "Run for Unity" was aimed at spreading the message of unity in India and reaffirming commitment to maintain the same.

Among others, AC to DC Arvind Hanglem, ADM Bokeshwor Sharma, Thoubal additional SPs (Ops) N Surajkumar and (L&O) H Devendra, district child protection officer Robindro Salam, divisional forest officer Dr L Jeeceelee, district-level officers and students attended the observance.
