Mass testing of IMC employees begins

Imphal, May 31 2021: The drive to conduct COVID-19 testing of all employees of Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC), who are working fearlessly amidst the current pandemic, began from Monday onwards.

IMC mayor Lokeshor told media persons that the drive was conducted to ensure COVID-19 testing of all the employees of the corporation who are working fearlessly and collecting household wastes amidst the pandemic in view of increasing positive cases and fatality rate in the state and also to make them free from the virus.

The drive is being organised in coordination with state health department, he said, adding that all the employees of IMC from sanitation workers to officials are working as frontline warrior in fight against the pandemic.
