JAC demands post mortem report of mom-daughter victims

Imphal, September 29 2024: The JAC against the unnatural death of Basanti and Lanchenbi (mother-daughter,) has appealed to the RIMS authority and state government to make public the post mortem report of the duo.

In a release, JAC convenor Oinam Chaoba Leima said that the two, who had nobody to care for, were found dead in their bed under suspicious circumstances.

As both seemed asleep it raised suspicion among the local people consequently leading to formation of the JAC to pursue the truth behind their death and justice for them if there was foul play.

The JAC believes that police would be investigating the incident fairly and has been refraining from resorting to agitation that could disrupt normal life considering the present turmoil.

However, the government should not take this considerate stand of the JAC lightly, she said while demanding disclosure of the post mortem report at the earliest.
