AR organises 'Mini Marathon' at Joupi

Chandel, November 28 2024: With the aim of promoting fitness and community engagement among the local youth, Assam Rifles conducted a Mini Marathon at Saibol Joupi village, Khengjoi Sub Division, Chandel District today.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 131 youth, including children, with 64 men and 67 women enthusiastically taking part in it.

said a release issued by IGAR (South).

The Mini Marathon was conducted in two categories viz, 10 Km for men and 5 Km for women, added the IGAR.

Prizes were distributed to the winners in both men's and women's categories, recognising their will and stamina and encouraging others to pursue a healthy and active lifestyle.

IGAR continued that the event was organized as part of Assam Rifles's ongoing efforts to engage with the local community to promote social cohesion and support holistic development of local people.

The event was well-received by the local community, with participants and spectators praising the initiative of the Assam Rifles.

Assam Rifles will remain dedicated to fostering positive relationships with the local community and supporting the development of Manipur's youth, added the IGAR (S) .
