Govt drivers in stir mode, hail MLAs

All Manipur Government Drivers and Technicians' Association (AMGD&TA) has announced that it will fully support and join the cease work strike being launched by MSSA, MGSF and MSNMDA from August 31 if authorities concerned do not honour demands of the government employees.
In a release, AMGD&TA working president K Ibomcha Sharma cautioned that the drivers will begin steering off protest from September 1 if the demands are not met.
However, the protest will exclude essential services including medical health services, electricity and water supply for the time being.
The association also beseeched every government driver to fully support the protest until the demands are met.
On the other hand, Ibomcha conveyed appreciation to MLA Ak Mirabai for raising the demands of the government drivers, which were already assured by the government, in the assembly on August 24 and MLA Kh Joykisan supporting the demands raised in the house.
