CTF Kangpokpi, Yaikongpao distribute essential items

Kangpokpi, June 24 2021: The Covid Task Force of Kangpokpi and Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi today handed over essential items including rice, dal, and potatoes provided by the local MLA yesterday in a review meeting to all the beneficiaries of their respective areas.

Kangpokpi AC MLA, Nemcha Kipgen personally participated in the distribution of essential items at Kangpokpi today.

Speaking on the' occasion, Nemcha Kipgen mentioned that the relief items were arranged to support the people during these health crisis.

She also strongly emphasized the importance of vaccination and exhorted the beneficiaries to get vaccinated at the earliest while adding that they could seek the help and assistance from the Covid Task Force anytime for vaccination.

The MLA then handed over the essential items to the beneficiaries at the KYU office in the presence of Covid Task Force Kangpokpi.

Earlier, in the morning CTF Yaikongpao- Tumnoupokpi also distributed the essential item at Yaikongpao to all the beneficiaries under its jurisdiction.

Around 160 beneficiaries without ration cards were provided essential items while the CTF Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi volunteers also provided home delivery service for those who could not go to the distribution site.

At Kangpokpi, around 155 beneficiaries without ration cards were provided essential items at the KYU office.

CTF Kangpokpi and CTF Yaikongpao-Tumnoupokpi expressed profound gratitude to the local MLA for her selfless service and kindness towards her people during this hard time of health crisis.

Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kangpokpi, Dr Paotinlal Haokip; Medical Officer of PHC Kalapahar, Dr Pilhing also conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the local MLA for her continuous efforts and sacrifices in the fight against the pandemic.
