Two arrested with WY tablets

Imphal, January 15 2022: A combined team of Thoubal district commando and Lilong police arrested two people with 9,972 WY tablets from Lilong Ushoipokpi Sangomshang area on Friday.

The arrestees have been identified as Md Faroque (35) son of Md Zanulabuddin and Md Imtilyas khan (30) son of Md Zaheruddin, both residents of Lilong Ushoipokpi Sangomshang.

According to police report, the combined team led by OC inspector N Tikendro Meitei arrested the duo with WY tablets from the residence of Imtilyas Khan around 5.30 pm.

The arrested people along with the seized items have been handed over to Lilong police and a case registered under NDPS Act, the police report added.
