Provide urea to FPCs/FPOs: Hingminnashi FPC

Kakching, August 13 2022: Hingminnashi Farmer Producer Company Ltd chief executive officer Annan Takhellambam has appealed to the government for providing urea to all members of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs)/Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) so as to ensure their success, considering the emphasis being given on FPC/FPO by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for development of farmers.

In a release, FPC CEO Annan Takhellambam stated that the FPC was formed under the aegis of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Imphal East and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) by several farmer clubs registered under District Agriculture Office, Porompat as part of nationwide establishment of 10,000 FPCs/FPOs under PM Modi's long-term plan for welfare of farmers.

At a time when FPCs/FPOs are working to increase agricultural production, unavailability of urea when it is most needed is causing big headache to farmers and they are becoming more and more apprehensive that they will suffer loss of crop, it decried.
