The CTF Charhajare stated that the report made by the convener of CTF Motbung was baseless and has no points.
Making such a report without proper concern of the victim was unfortunate.
The victim who was bitten and harassed was innocent.
As soon as the brother of the victim went out after finishing his dinner, he was detained by police personnel in front of his house near the National highway.
To clarify about the situation the victim came out and was talking to police personnel but he was beaten and assaulted, it alleged.
CTF Charhajare raised questions against the use of excessive force and harassment meted out to the females present in the house in the name of COVID-19 protocols.
Other forms of punishment could have been imposed like T/R or Challan for violating the Curfew protocols.
In the fabricated report, another allegation was also imposed that a birthday party was celebrated in the house of the victim in violation to Covid guidelines, such reports are baseless and mere allegation as no such birthday party was organized, it added.

"We all live in a gentle society, an educated society where harassment, mercilessly beating, assaulting women, kicking somebody's house with boots and threatening to beat them thoroughly by the police personnel or any one is seen as a violation of basic human rights.
However, in the case of Pradeep Karki, the above mentioned things were carried out by the police personnel in the name of protecting law and order", it alleged.
