Bishnupur, Pherzawl districts hold SDDMM meeting

Bishnupur, April 11 2022:
Bishnupur district's Sub-Division Development Monitoring Mission (SDDMM) held its first meeting on Monday at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, DC Office, Bishnupur as a part of '100 Action Points for first 100 Days' for the district.
Chairing the meeting, district coordinator T Ranjit Singh said SDDMM has been set up to speed and scale up the growth and development in all the 68 sub-divisions in the state.
Seeking support and cooperation from district officials of various departments, he stated that prabhari officers of Nambol, Bishnupur and Moirang sub-divisions will need to work in coordination with the SDOs, BDOs, and DLOs to achieve the target.
He suggested to officials Concerned to carry out proper planning and mapping of the villages under the respective sub-divisions so that grassroots level surveys could be conducted and correct data collected.
Addressing the meeting, the Bishnupur deputy commissioner Lourem bam Bikram also emphasised on the conduct of proper survey and data collection.
He said that data collected through grassroots level surveys will be the base for identifying households which need basic amenities.
The data will also help in ensuring that the poorest of the poor in the district avail the benefits of various state and central government schemes.
He also stressed on the importance of taking up necessary implementing tasksat the earliest for timely execution of the mission, such as - 'One Sub-Division - One Product'; 'One Family - One Livelihood'; and 'Plastic Free Manipur'.
Assistant commissioner to DC Bishnupur Ejaj Hassan briefed the gathering on the population and statistical aspects of the District related to the SDDMM.
During the meeting, suggestions and opinions were shared and discussed.
The meeting was attended by prabhari officers of Moirang Sub-Division Hanna Kahmei, Nambol Sub-Division A Romita Devi and SDOs, BDOs among others.
Pherzawl: As part of the state government's '100 Action Points for First 100 Days', a Sub-Division Develop ment Monitoring Mission'meeting along with District Level Officers, SDOs/BDOs of Pherzawl district was held at the Office Chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Old DC Complex, Churachandpur on Monday.
Secretary of Labour & Emp/PHED, B John Tlangtinkhuma and Prabhari officers of Pherzawl district attended the meeting.
Speaking at the session, Tlangtinkhuma highlighted vision of the state government under by CM N Biren towards initiation of citizen-centric governance, fill gaps in infrastructure deficit and disparity, promotion of revenue generation within Pherzawl & Vangai Range, rapid economic growth, inclusive development and for stability of the region.
He pointed out that the first step should be towards identifying product marketable in the region especially Horticulture & Agriculture produces and collection of data (old age pension, drinking water facility, CMHT Card & Ration Card) households having no source of income.
Pherzawl deputy commissioner Joseph Pauline Kamson said the state government is monitoring the situation with all seriousness attached to serve the people effectively throughout the five years.
He also urged all district level officers to ensure that the poorest of the poor in the district can avail all schemes and benefits.
He stated that the District Administration will conduct door to door survey to ensure development reaches every person in the region.
At the meeting, various DLOs made power point presentation highlighting the achievements of the departments.
It was also attended by ADC Chingakham Shachi, prabhari officers Haotinkhup Haokip and Ngangbam Roman Singh, additional SP Lunza-mung Tungnung and DLOs.
