Two held with drags at different places

Imphal, November 08 2021:
Tengnoupal Battalion of IGAR (S) recovered narcotics worth Rs 14.40 near Tengnoupal on Sunday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that during routine checking at Khu-dengthabi Vehicle Check Post, troops of Assam Rifles noticed two women moving suspiciously.
A riflewoman was assigned to carry out their detailed search at appropriate place.
During the search, six soap cases (3 each) containing 72 grams of suspected brown-sugar strapped around their inner thigh were recovered.
The recovered items along with the women have been handed over to Tengnoupal Police Station for further investigation, it added.
On the other hand, a man was held with Rs 2.8 crore worth of drugs at Khuzama Narcotics Check Point around 3pm on Sunday.
The man has been identified as Md Imraan Khan (22) s/o Ayar Khan of Sangaiyumpham Mairenkhong.
Around 1.4 kg of Heroin was seized from his possession.
A case has been registered under ND &PS Act in this regard and further investigation is underway, a report conveyed.
