Noney, September 08 2022: As a part of 75 years of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, World Hepatitis Day-2022 was observed under the theme 'Bringing Care Closure to you - Hepatitis Can t Wait' at the conference hall of Noney chief medical officer's (CMO) office, on Thursday.

The programme was attended by Noney CMO Dr Z Kamei as chief guest while NVBDCP DPO Dr Gairanlung Thaimei and National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP) Noney district nodal officer Dr Adim Gangmei were guests of honour and functional president respectively.

The programme was organised by District Health Society, Noney and moderated by district programme manager RK Bijeta.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr Adim Gangmei highlighted the root causes of Hepatitis-B infection, its signs and symptoms and also deliberated on the management and awareness of the dreaded disease.

The programme was also attended by nurses, ASHA facilitators and staff of Block Programme Management Unit.
