'Panthougi Liklam' selected for SASFF 2021

Manipuri short film 'Panthougi Liklam' directed by Rakesh Moirangthem has been selected for screening in the panorama fiction category of the 4th South Asian Short Film Festival organised by Federation of Film Societies of India.
Earlier, the film had won Jury's Special Mention Award at the 13th International Guwahati Film Festival, Best Short Film award at the Short Film Competition on Netaji's Dreams of India 2021 organised by Ministry of information and broadcasting, and Grand Jury award & best actor award at the Chalachitram National Film Festival 2021, Guwahati.
It also made it to the official selection in non-competition section of the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival, 2021, the only Oscar qualifying festival of India and selected for screening at the 8th Siliguri Short and Documentary Film Festival 2021.Renowned film actor Tonthoi is the lead actor in the film which is produced by Suraj Khongbantabam based on a story written by Somendro Moirangthem.
Shot by cinematographer Dhamen Laishram with background score by Tenao HD, the film, which has Shanti Raj as the production manager, is directed and edited by Rakesh Moirangthem.
