Lecture on historical sites conducted

Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on "India's famous historical sites" at Upper Primary School, L Hengjol in Kangpokpi district with the participation of 66 students and five teachers.
The lecture was aimed at making the students aware about the architectural marvels, cultural significance and historical importance of these revered landmarks as the representation of India's tradition and diverse cultural splendour.
The lecture emphasised on famous historical places as they serve as custodians of collective memory, preserving tangible traces of humanity's past for future generations.
Historical sites act as tangible links to our past, providing a window into the lives, cultures, and events that shaped the present world.
The event demonstrated Assam Rifles' commitment in promoting cultural heritage as well as reminders of shared history, fostering a sense of identity and belongingness amongst the students and teachers, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.
