Bodies of two drowned kids found, another missing

Imphal, August 04 2021: Out of the three toddlers who got drowned in river at two different locations on Tuesday and Wednesday, two have been fished out on Wednesday while search for third kid continues.

According to police, Abujar (5) son of Md Ayajuddin and Akinab (5) son of Md Nasir Ahmad Makakmayum, both from Bengoon Loukok Kwak-ta Tera Khongsangbi fell into Imphal River around 9.30 am Tuesday.

People searched for the two kids in the river and found Akinab alive while Abujar could not be traced.

SDRF and Mayang Imphal police team have been searching for the body of Abujar.

On the other hand, Keisham TombiChanu (3) daughter of Abung Pukhaf of Terapur fell into Iril River around 10.45 am on Wednesday.

People of the area then searched for the kid in the river.

Continuing the search with a joint team of NDRF and SDRF, the lifeless body of the toddler was found at a short distance from where she fell.
