Weapon display programme for NCC cadets held

Assam Rifles of Headquarters Veng, Churachandpur on Monday organised a weapon display programme for NCC cadets, who are attending the annual training camp at Churachandpur.

PRO IGAR (S) informed that the event was aimed at familiarising the cadets with weapons held by Indian Armed Forces.
In all 98 NCC cadets in eluding 82 girls attended the programme.
The weapon display was followed by an interactive session, where the cadets learned about the evolution and significance of the displayed weapons.
Assam Rifles also or ganised a similar weapons display event for NCC cadets at Pallel in Kakching district on Saturday, which was participated by 18 girl NCC cadets, and three staff members.
The cadets had the opportunity to handle the weapons, gaining first hand experience in weapon handling and its capabilities.
The interactive display not only familiarised them with modern weaponry but also inspired several cadets to explore careers in the Armed Forces, PRO IGAR (S) informed in a release issued Sunday, adding that the event fostered enthusiasm and deepened the cadets' interest in national service.
